This painting records a summer's worth of flowering at Aberlady. It is not a snapshot of a moment in time, but a reflection of a relationship with a particular path, and a gradual aquaintance with its flowers,birds, butterflies and other creatures. I'm trying to capture the wonder and delight in all that I discovered, and to convey the spirituality of those feelings.
